December 4, Davis Creek 1st Ward Christmas Party...
Our Christmas Party (Breakfast) went very well...even if we did have to start and finish earlier....except, I forgot to have someone take pictures. Well, despite it we enjoyed good food, the spirit was there; it was a perfect way to close our 2010 year. Merry Christmas to all of you...
Hello Everyone,
It is that time of the year for our Ward Christmas Party. I have not known or experienced an Holiday Season/or Party with out it moments of chaos...
By mistake the Stake Center was double booked, our Ward as well as another Ward. We have come to a compromise which allows both Wards to have their Christmas Parties. We will start ours this Sat. at 8:30am instead of 9:00 am. We do need to be cleaned up and out of the building by 10:00 am allowing time for the other Ward to get there party going. So please arrive at 8:30 am at the Stake Center so that we can eat, do our entertainment and enjoy the start of this Holiday Season.
Thanks,
Georgie Elliott....

July 17th Farmington Creek Trail
It has been a whole month since our last get together and hike...since then Brent and I have been busy with a son (Kyle) getting married and a son (Ryan) leaving on his mission. It has been days of planning, excitment, concern, all the emotions such events bring ect.....Monday July 12, I received a phone call from Linda Rasmussen our wonderful, did you hear those words WONDERFUL....PRIMARY PRESIDENT!! A while back I had assigned each oranization a date and hike area. She ws calling me to remind me that our July 17, hike was coming up. I had not done any promoting, advertising of any kind as I was busy with son stuff. To my surprise Linda had it all planned with the help of all the primary children. THANK YOU!!!
It was rather warm today but we enjoyed a fun hike and mini version of Church History learning about destinations, hardships, trials, events that our early pioneers endured on their route to the great Salt Lake Valley. We had a great turn out...the biggest yet 36 total attended is was I believe I counted. This was a wonderful way to enjoy a well know hiking trail behind Lagoon...Thank you again Primary!!!
I think any pioneer would hurry to each destinaton it they knew chocolate milk, strawberry jam and fresh bread was being served...

(Ward Waddlers) June 5th 2nd Hike
The weather was perfect we had about twenty attend this early 7:00 am walk. I was a bit late as I have three grandcritters to wrestle with (I am enjoying every minute of it) I did manage to get to the hike destination at 7:30 to take some morning beauty shots!!!
GOOD MORNING....
Ty was in a pretty good mood...he just does not like his sister's holding him!!!
Leave it to Trevor he's always ready for the camera... Notice in the background Wendy and Maria Simmons jogging...way to go ladies, forgive me for the behind the scene's shot.
Nick Simmons...he was not interested in posing, I don't blame him, this is what I do when a camera is around!!!
I think I might know these two...
Two of my favorite people at 7:30 in the morning they were not camera shy...
The lead...
The end...
These two look alike!!!
If you missed this hike it is worth exploring this area...nice layed out paved trail...
Mother's with babies, strollers work well on this trail, very peaceful!!!
Description:
This is a beautiful urban nature walk paralleling Haight Creek. There are plenty of cattails and willows to hid the wildlife. Deer, foxes, raccoons, and pheasants can be seen in this delightful wetland.
Trailhead Location(s):
Go west on Shepard Lane (~1200 N.) and over the I-15 overpass to 350 E. (a Kaysville address). Turn south (left) and go two blocks to a stop sign near a reed pond. Park along the road. The trail is south of the pond paralleling Haight Creek. The Farmington address here is 950 N. 2000 W.
Trail Route:
The path descends a small hill then parallels Haight Creek which is only a trickle here. Stroll along the path flanked by reeds to an intersection with a bench. You can take the left branch which bends south through the neighborhood or go westward to 2125 W. (Fox Hunter Drive). Eventually, the trail will continue west to join up with the Great Salt Lake Shoreline Trail.
Constuction Status:
The trail is in good shape on a packed gravel pathway.
