(Ward Waddlers) June 5th 2nd Hike

I would like to start out with a big THANK YOU to Brother McOmber and Brother Munoz for heading up our 2nd hike on Haight Creek Trail...

The weather was perfect we had about twenty attend this early 7:00 am walk. I was a bit late as I have three grandcritters to wrestle with (I am enjoying every minute of it) I did manage to get to the hike destination at 7:30 to take some morning beauty shots!!!

GOOD MORNING....

Ty was in a pretty good mood...he just does not like his sister's holding him!!!
Leave it to Trevor he's always ready for the camera... Notice in the background Wendy and Maria Simmons jogging...way to go ladies, forgive me for the behind the scene's shot.
Nick Simmons...he was not interested in posing, I don't blame him, this is what I do when a camera is around!!!
I think I might know these two...
Two of my favorite people at 7:30 in the morning they were not camera shy...
The lead...
The end...

These two look alike!!!

If you missed this hike it is worth exploring this area...nice layed out paved trail...
Mother's with babies, strollers work well on this trail, very peaceful!!!

Description:

This is a beautiful urban nature walk paralleling Haight Creek. There are plenty of cattails and willows to hid the wildlife. Deer, foxes, raccoons, and pheasants can be seen in this delightful wetland.

Trailhead Location(s):

Go west on Shepard Lane (~1200 N.) and over the I-15 overpass to 350 E. (a Kaysville address). Turn south (left) and go two blocks to a stop sign near a reed pond. Park along the road. The trail is south of the pond paralleling Haight Creek. The Farmington address here is 950 N. 2000 W.

Trail Route:

The path descends a small hill then parallels Haight Creek which is only a trickle here. Stroll along the path flanked by reeds to an intersection with a bench. You can take the left branch which bends south through the neighborhood or go westward to 2125 W. (Fox Hunter Drive). Eventually, the trail will continue west to join up with the Great Salt Lake Shoreline Trail.

Constuction Status:

The trail is in good shape on a packed gravel pathway.
